About Me:
Tonight is a night for small and profound understanding. We dance with eachother and all things.
—————————————————————–
I am a woman with children, multiple siblings (mostly an unbeliveably diverse and more-than-beautiful set of sisters and a couple caring, protective brothers), and many, many mothers. A person with more-than-one fucked-up, fearful, and faithful father. I am drenched with friends and with people sending me so much pain and passion, wisdom and wants, yelling and yearning, fears and fierce fights for freedom that it's no wonder my body is curved with their familiar faces, my breasts filled out with their meaningful words (even when they don't realize their weight), my hips swelled with their much-needed touches, and my tummy thickened by their (& my) anger and fear (mis & reasonably) directed at me. Hence, my beauty (which runs rampid and wild) is a direct result of their love, apathy, and distaste.
I am earth, sky, sea, wind, and fire. And I am absolutely nothing at all. Can you dig it?
All of which is so normal it hurts sometimes… boring, uninteresting, dull in it's exceptional rarity.
And there is nothing more prominent about my world, about my ginormous (I love that word) family… about me (and I see, about you too)… than love. And I think there is a happy meaning in this reoccuring motif (“reoccuring motif” isn't that redundant?).

SOME QUOTES THAT I LOVE
“True we love life, not because we're used to living, but because we're used to loving. There is always some madness in love, but there is always some reason in madness.” –Nietzsche
“The only trust required is to know that when there is one ending there will be another beginning.”
“I will never forget the light from those horses.” –Pablo Neruda
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” –Nietzsche
“In a single human being there are many other beings, all with their own values, motives, and devices. Some psychological technologies suggest we arrest these beings, count them, name them, force them into harness till they shuffle along like vanquished slaves. But to do this would halt the dance of wildish lights in a woman's eyes; it would halt her heat lightning and arrest all throwing of sparks. Rather than corrupt her natural beauty, our work is to build for all these beings a wildish countryside wherein the artists among them can make, the lovers love, the healers heal.” –Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
“I can't believe you don't know how beautiful you are.”–American Beauty
” I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me… but it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst… And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life… You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry… you will someday. ” – American Beauty
“What's wrong with death sir? What are we so mortally afraid of? Why can't we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity, and decency, and God forbid, maybe even humor. Death is not the enemy gentlemen. If we're going to fight a disease, let's fight one of the most terrible diseases of all, indifference.” –Patch Adams
“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. ”
“… a human's life is a struggle between ignorance and illumination.”
“… passion is anger and love combined.”
